Removal from office of the Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and senior military officials for treasonous acts
On February 1st, senior military officials threatened the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Win Myint with physical harm if he did not resign from his office for health reasons. The threat made to him was officially stated in court by the President himself on October 12th.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and other senior military officials are responsible for the violent overthrow of the government which is a treasonous act set out by the Criminal Code 122 (1). By committing this treasonous act, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and senior military officials have also violated military laws. Therefore, the removal office of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and senior military officials is hereby announced.
From Commander-in-Chief to Private, all Tatmadaw soldiers must be loyal to the nation and its citizens.
Therefore, it is the duty of all Tatmadaw soldiers to defend, with their lives, the people’s elected Parliament, government, and Supreme Court.
Since Min Aung Hlaing and his followers have been removed from office and does not represent the Tatmadaw, it is no longer necessary for Tatmadaw soldiers to follow their orders.
The Tatmadaw soldiers’ primary duty is to protect and defend the people. As such, it is also their duty to punish and prosecute the treasonous Min Aung Hlaing and his followers.
To punish and prosecute these perpetrators, Tatmadaw soldiers must unite with members of the People’s Defense Force to protect the lives and properties of the people.
Continuing to follow, support, and help implement the orders of the treasonous Min Aung Hlaing and his followers is a violation of military’s code of conduct, and laws.
In order to establish a people’s elected federal democratic union government and a federal army based on a federal constitution, we strongly encourage Tatmadaw soldiers to quickly unite with the people.
